Jake started walking at 13 months and shortly thereafter he got a hold of mommys sewing machine cord and pulled it off the table to give him this horrible owie!!

This is how Jake has spent 85% of his first 3 years. He loves laying on the floor playing with his cars or trains. I really can't complain, he usually keeps himself quite entertained.

Jake's First Year

One week old!


Here are just a few of my favorites from Jake's first year. Yes, we had 2 halloween costumes, the Chicken was a last minute steal, but a huge hit. I love the skeleton, because he was so chubby, and again with the crazy tongue.

Here is my absolute favorite at his first birthday party. He was so tired by cake time that he just wanted the binky, although he was a big fan of dipping it in the cake.

Week of Jake

Jake Thomas Tucker was born on July 1st, 2006. I was induced at 38 6/7 weeks because well.... mommy is a wimp!! My induction started at 4am and at 11:44am my 2nd beautiful baby boy was born. He weighed 7# 10.6oz. and was 19in. the exact same as Carter when he was born. Another not so wonderful story about mommy begins here. Through out my 2nd pregnancy I had those horrible thoughts about whether or not I could love another child as much as I love Carter, and what if this baby is just not cute. Well as soon as Jake was out they laid him on my chest and I was certain my horrifying thoughts would be true. His eyes were all bugged out and he just kept sticking his tongue out like a lizard, he really looked wierd, and he wasn't crying either. But sure enough after they cleaned him off and gave him a little recovery time, I was introduced for the 2nd time in my life to a tiny soul that will forever hold my heart!!


This is one of those amazing pictures that I love because I can tell that this is every bit my little Jakie! He still sleeps like this with this hands up by his face, and looks just the same as he did as a newborn. To know me is to know that my boys don't stay little for long. This is Jake's one month visit to the pediatrician. As we are soon to enter Jake's 3rd year he is still growing like a weed, in fact, if Carter doesn't bust out a few inches soon Jake may surpass him.
P.S. This song is Jake's favorite, so it is a must to have it on my blog this week. Just picture him singing it "Life a highway, all night long..." so cute! The boy loves his "Cars".
